Here are a few MLK Day celebrations happening in Michigan today:

In Allendale/Grand Rapids: Silent March at Grand Valley State University
GVSU has commemoration activities all week. If you have a chance, join or witness the Silent March today from 1-1:30 p.m. at the Allendale Campus.

In Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti: MLK President’s Luncheon at Eastern Michigan University
EMU has a full week of commemoration activities beginning today with the President’s Luncheon. The luncheon will feature an address from “renown educator Mr. Geoffrey Canada.” The President’s Luncheon will be today at 11:45 a.m. in the EMU Student Center Grand Ballroom. It is open to community members for $20. Tickets are still available.

In Kalamazoo: March to MLK Park
